Sazerac Beverages North America is Hiring a Production Planner Near New Albany, IN
This position will be held responsible for scheduling all production, maintaining MPR/MPS, as well as replenishment of cases and goods from sister plants.
Responsibilities:
Make sure each order is entered in a prompt and accurate way and improving efficency of production.
Provide exceptional customer service by updating Access database, create and review Sys21 work orders, and monitor shipment activity.
Plan production for the bottling operations at NOD using Master Production Scheduling module.
Support planning of intercompany transfer processes to NOD. Foster continuous improvement in such areas as well as use of WeSupply. Support safety stock evaluation.
Participate/lead in process improvements that deliver cost savings in areas of production scheduling.
Work with Brand Managers on production plans or planned FG purchases for new products and brands.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all NOD finished goods items are available by customer-requested ship dates.
Help bottling operations achieve desired efficiencies by providing a schedule for production that creates optimal line efficiency with inventory carrying costs.
Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
Work closely with Supervisor to improve a work related skill(s), which will lead to improved performance, improve professional growth as well as the company's success.
Develop a personal Career plan that will help achieve overall career objectives.
Streamline production planning and import planning processes to reduce frustration and improve the quality of work life.
Utilize the priority system to focus on priorities that will increase company growth.
Required:
High school degree or equivalent
2 years relevant work experience
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Requires Experience in manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS)
Strong analytical and technical skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification
Preferred: Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry
Experience with System 21 ERP software
5 years experience in an AS 400 environment, at least
Experience in process design, implementation and improvement
Experience in development of query programs on AS400 or similar proficiency
